![]() We close our eyes to how machines work because they’re hard to understand and it makes us afraid. This sounds partially like wilful ignorance, but also a little like fear-induced blindness. Some suggest it doesn’t matter if we understand how things work as long as they continue to do their jobs. To start with, we have to decide if we really want to know how our things work. ![]() Why should we want to know the way things work? His story has a great deal to do with ancient buildings, quirky alternate histories and mammoths. His work has contributed to some of the most memorable books in history. I want to tell the story of an award winning, veteran technology illustrator, one of the best of our time, the British-American, David Macaulay. I celebrate the science and technology communicators that challenge our ignorance and work hard to explain our things to us. Their parts are shrunk down and they become opaque boxes full of parts we just don’t understand. ![]() ![]() Our mechanical and electronic machines are gradually encapsulated in ever tighter wrappings that hide their function. Does it really matter if we don’t understand the way things work? The MC in this book will have more than one love interest and readers should read the warning before continuing. ![]() There is blood, death, love, unlikely interest, secrets revealed, and much more. Addicted to his Blood and Our Blood focuses on Finnely, Rome, Jacob, and Cambridge. Our Blood is book 4 of the Blood Series and is best understood when read in order. How in the world will Finnely, Rome, Jacob, and Cambridge stay together? Supernaturals will be forced into the eye of the public. What lies in the dark must come to the light. They have to stick together in order to keep from being killed. The search for the false king is not only seeming impossible but deadly. Stress levels are high as the weight of the world rests on their shoulders. They are causing too many casualties, bodies litter the streets and innocents are leaving the world too soon. The humans are done turning a blind eye to the supernatural. The guilt that eats at him every day is only pushed down by his men who give him purpose: A stalker vampire, an a-hole prince vampire, and a broken wolf. Finnely is still dealing with the aftermath of losing all that he’s known. ![]() 6/25/2023 0 Comments Suburban Gentleman by John Lindsey![]() With it, Lindsay created the Mayor’s Office of Film, Theatre and Broadcasting, which would show New York to the world. The news of these substitutions - the outdoor and natural being displaced by the indoor and virtual - became seen by many as a powerful sign of the growing gulf between childhood and the natural world.
